It is sponsored by the Weinstein JCC, the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond and Rich- mond Council for Jewish Education. Admission is free. The celebration will feature Israeli Su- perstar D’ganit Daddo in a ticketed concert beginning at 3 p.m. There will be camel rides ($7), a free pet- ting zoo, henna tattoos, Israeli cuisine for pur- chase, Israeli wine tastings, art and gifts straight from Israel at Bar Kochva’s Shuk, and much more more! Tickets for the concert are $12 per person/ $35 family maximum (children under 2 are free) and available for purchase in advance at events or at the door. To pay at the door, an RSVP is appreciated by calling (804) 285-6500. Immediately following the con cert, from 4 - 6 p.m., tourists can stroll through three distinct areas of Israel. The Richard A. Arenstein Lobby will resemble Jerusalem complete with Western Wall, Israeli cuisine for purchase courtesy of Yossi Goel and a lively Shuk filled with Israeli art and gifts for purchase. From there, visitors can venture to the Sara D. November Art Gallery to experience the vibrant culture of Tel Aviv where the henna tattoos, arts and crafts and dance music reminds us that Israel is not just old, but also new. Tourists can head outside to the front lawn to climb Masada (inflatable rock wall), ride a camel, and get ready for duty in the Israeli Defense Forces. All of this and more is planned for an Israel Day event for the entire community to enjoy!
