SUMMER 2015

HE 2ND ANNUAL

Ramsey Public

Education Foundation (RPEF)

Sprint For Our Schools

race was

held on May 9. Expectations were

high for the event, following the

tremendous success of the 2014 race.

This year’s sprint didn’t disappoint,

with over 1,100 participants raising

over $28,000 for Ramsey’s schools!

Students and faculty from all five

Ramsey schools were encouraged to

participate in the event through

contests run at each institution. The

school with the highest number of

participants was granted $1,000 from

the RPEF. For the second year in a

row, Dater Elementary School,

comprised of 4th and 5th grades,

boasted the most participants. Last

year, Dater School used their prize to

purchase a 3-D printer. “Dater School

is very excited to accept the

participation grant from the RPEF,”

says Dater Principal Andrew Matteo.

“The RPEF does so many great things

for all of the district’s schools. This

event has grown into such a

wonderful community event in only

its second year. It does a terrific job

highlighting the great work of the

RPEF and the great schools that we

have in Ramsey. The participation

competition adds an extra layer of
